WHAT WILL I LEARN?Â

✓ A brief overview of how we can use cognitive behavioral theory to understand why we feel hopeless.Â
✓ Some tips on how you can manage and improve hopelessness using evidence-based techniques.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Maria is a Psychological Therapist with a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Psychological Practice, that permits her to work therapeutically with adults who experience common mental health problems. She has over 7 years’ mental health experience working in settings including primary care, forensic psychiatry, and special education needs.   Â
Maria has experience working one to one with people who present with: Â
- Overthinking, worry and rumination Â
- Generalised Anxiety and Panic Â
- Low mood and Depression Â
- Lack of motivation and fatigue Â
- Stress Â
- Insomnia Â
Her primary research interests lie in the field of Applied Psychology, where she currently holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Maria is passionate about Psychology and uses psychological theory to inform her practice where appropriate.
