This webinar explores why we feel anxious and how anxiety is maintained in everyday life, from a cognitive behavioral perspective. Â Â
WHAT WILL I LEARN?Â

✓ A brief overview of how we can use cognitive behavioral theory to understand why we feel anxious. Â
✓ Some basic tips on how you can manage anxiety using cognitive behavioral techniques.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Maria is a Cognitive Behavioural  Therapist with a Diploma in CBT and a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Psychological Practice, that permits her to work therapeutically with adults who experience common mental health problems. She has over 10 years’ mental health experience working in settings including primary care, forensic psychiatry, and special education needs.   Â
Maria has experience working one to one with people who present with: Â

Her primary research interests lie in the field of Applied Psychology, where she currently holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Maria is passionate about Psychology and uses psychological theory to inform her practice where appropriate.
